CALIFORNIA COAST DENTAL ARTS
Welcome to California Coast Dental Arts. We opened our doors in March 2005 and have since impressed and received praises from our patients, colleagues, and the surrounding community. The state of the art treatment rooms offer a relaxing atmosphere without sacrificing personal care and attention to each individual. We have integrated technological advances such as digital radiography (which reduces the amount of radiation up to 90% versus traditional x-rays) and intra-oral cameras in the rooms in order to work together with each individual patient to aid him/her to obtain optimal oral health.
For individuals who fear dental procedures, we offer the ability to listen to music with individual headphones or to watch DVDs while receiving dental care. We also offer services that may ease dental anxiety such as oral sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to make your visit a pleasant one. At California Coast Dental Arts, we believe in treating our patients like family; which includes wanting and giving them the best dentistry we can provide. Again, we welcome you to come in and experience California Coast Dental Arts; where technology meets old fashioned TLC.
Meet Dr. Scott Welling
The first thing Dr. Welling wants all of his patients to know is that he will take the time to listen to their concerns and questions. Health and well-being are not one-sided discussions. We work as a doctor/patient team to arrive at the best treatment for your health.
Dr. Welling’s favorite hobbies are all about spending time with his family. He and his wife Harriet have three beautiful children: Esther, Archie, and Hugo. Together with their Bernedoodle Teddy, they love hiking, chasing sunsets, fishing, trying new restaurants, and playing sports.
Dr. Welling received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brigham Young University and completed his dental degree at The Ohio State University. He has since completed additional studies and courses for placing cosmetic veneers, implants, and Invisalign braces.

Sandra
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, she brings 10 plus years of experience in the dental field. Sandra lives in Oceanside with her son and when not in the office, she enjoys traveling and trying out new restaurants! She is always happy to help assist you in any of your front office needs.
Candi
Candi graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She’s worked in both small and large dental practices and also worked as a clinical dental hygiene instructor at the University of Minnesota. Candi joined Dr Chan’s office in 2009. Candi and her husband have two sons. They enjoy watching their boys play baseball and also enjoy spending time at the beach.
